Nestled in the Truong Son Mountain range, A Luoi is about 70km south of Hue City and home to the Pa Co and Ta Oi minority groups, which have preserved a traditional legend in Vietnam for transporting materials south during the war with America.
Here you can learn about the way of life of the Ta Oi and Pa Ko people, go trekking in the forests, view many unique species of flora & fauna, and walk in the footsteps of those who fought in the American war.

7AM: Leave Hue to head to A Luoi district.
9.30AM: Welcomed by your local guide in A Luoi. Leaving from the Bureau of Industry and Trade of A Luoi District, you will trek through the forest to visit A Bia Hill (Hamburger Hill). On the way, the local guide will introduce the kinds of the flora and the fauna of the area, including the history of A Bia Hill - where the famous battle took place in 1969. You will have lunch on the hill, before returning to the traditional communal house - where the local people organise their festivals.
3PM: You will visit A Hua hamlet, where households participate in Zeng weaving - a famous product of the area. You will also see the garden houses and learn how to distil wine from Doat tree.
4.30PM: You will then return to Hue.
